WHEN CAN I START LEARNING TO DRIVE?

You can start learning to drive at 16. Begin by contacting a driving instructor, who will explain the learning process.

MANUAL OR AUTOMATIC?

If you take your test in an automatic car, your licence will be restricted to automatic vehicles. This restriction appears on your driving licence as code 78.

DO I NEED A BE TRAILER LICENCE?

Drivers who obtained their standard driving licence before 15 August 1997 automatically received both B and BE entitlement. Those who passed after that date receive category B only and need four practical lessons and a practical test to obtain BE entitlement.

“Many people are afraid of making mistakes”

“But mistakes are an opportunity to learn”

“Making mistakes while learning to drive shows that you are trying.”

“When you learn to drive with us, we want you to make your mistakes during lessons and learn from them. Together, we lay the foundations for you to become a safer driver.”

“Mistakes do not define your ability.”

“Mistakes are valuable experience.”
